KENTUCKY — A Pike County man is facing multiple charges after Kentucky State Police say they found drugs and a firearm during a home visit in Belfry.
Troopers arrested Frankie Myers Jr. on December 5, charging him with trafficking methamphetamine and fentanyl, among other offenses.
According to police, the investigation began when they were called to a residence and were told Myers was in possession of illegal drugs and firearms. Troopers said they were conducting a routine home visit when Myers allowed them to search his camper. During the search, officers reported finding suspected meth, fentanyl, heroin, and a rifle. Because Myers is a convicted felon, he is prohibited from possessing firearms.
In addition to drug trafficking and firearm charges, Myers was also taken into custody on a complaint warrant listing several other offenses, including third-degree criminal trespassing, second-degree criminal mischief, and theft by unlawful taking of a vehicle valued between $1,000 and $10,000.
Myers was transported to the Pike County Detention Center, where he is awaiting further court proceedings.
