TEXAS — A single-vehicle crash early Sunday morning in north Houston left one person dead and three others hospitalized in critical condition, according to police.
The crash happened around 2 a.m. in the 4900 block of the Eastex Freeway, near the entrance ramp to I-610 West. Investigators believe a vehicle carrying four people veered off the entry ramp, traveled down a grassy embankment and possibly rolled multiple times before coming to a stop.
One occupant died at the scene. The three remaining passengers were taken to a hospital, where they were last reported to be in critical condition.
Authorities have not yet identified anyone involved in the crash and are still working to determine what caused the vehicle to leave the roadway. The investigation remains ongoing.
