FLORIDA — Florida Highway Patrol troopers are investigating a fatal crash that occurred Saturday night on Silver Star Road in Orange County.
According to FHP, the collision happened at 10:16 p.m. as a Honda CR-V was traveling westbound on Silver Star Road near Hiawassee Road.
Troopers said the vehicle struck a 29-year-old Orlando man who was running northbound across the roadway.
The pedestrian was taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center, where he was later pronounced dead. The driver of the Honda, a 20-year-old Orlando man, was not injured and remained at the scene following the crash.
The incident remains under investigation.
