
NORTH CAROLINA — A southwest Charlotte man is facing a series of drug trafficking charges after police seized firearms, cash, and large quantities of drugs from his apartment.
Authorities said the investigation began when CrimeStoppers received an anonymous tip claiming someone was selling drugs from an apartment on Yancey Road.
Police executed a search warrant at the residence and arrested 25-year-old Pierce Cerda.
During the search, officers recovered two firearms, more than $6,100 in cash, approximately 1,776 grams of suspected marijuana, over 120 grams of suspected cocaine, 30 suspected oxycodone pills, several suspected THC vape cartridges, and various pieces of drug paraphernalia.
Cerda is charged with trafficking in cocaine; possession with intent to manufacture, sell, or distribute a Schedule II controlled substance; possession with intent to sell or distribute marijuana; felony possession of marijuana; maintaining a dwelling for the use or sale of controlled substances; possession of drug paraphernalia; and possession of marijuana paraphernalia.
Police have not released additional details about the investigation.
