Multiple people arrested following meth bust in Indiana

INDIANA — An Indiana State Police investigation has resulted in multiple arrests connected to the distribution of methamphetamine in Decatur County and surrounding areas.

On Nov. 23, troopers from the Versailles Post, along with officers from the Greensburg Police Department, responded to an apartment on East Street in Greensburg after receiving reports of criminal activity. During the investigation, officers executed a search warrant at the residence.

Inside the apartment, investigators found suspected methamphetamine, marijuana, prescription medications and drug paraphernalia. According to state police, the occupants had been obtaining methamphetamine and distributing it to hundreds of people across Decatur County and southeastern Indiana.

Troopers arrested Ronald D. Lawrence, 53, of Greensburg, on preliminary charges including dealing methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, possession of a controlled substance and possession of a legend drug.

Deanna M. Embree, 47, was also arrested on preliminary charges of maintaining a common nuisance, possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

The case was forwarded to the Decatur County Prosecutor’s Office. As a result, Jaime L. Huffman, 48, and Rea D. Frazier, 45, were charged with visiting a common nuisance in connection with the initial investigation.
