KENTUCKY — The Garrard County Sheriff’s Office dealt a significant blow to the methamphetamine trade in Lancaster Thursday, arresting three individuals and seizing a large quantity of the drug.

Paul Jackson, 37, of Detroit, Michigan; Dashawn Willis, 35, of Louisville, Kentucky; and Kaviera Johnson, 22, of Ypsilanti, Michigan, were charged with trafficking methamphetamine.

Deputies confiscated 1.3 pounds of meth, disrupting what investigators said appeared to be a steady pipeline supplying narcotics to the Lancaster area.

“This was a major hit to the meth trade in Lancaster. My deputies worked tirelessly to track, identify, and dismantle this pipeline before more poison could hit our streets,” Sheriff Willie Skeens said.

Sheriff Skeens noted that this is the second major meth distribution chain shut down by the department in 2025. The investigation is ongoing, and additional charges may be filed.
