OHIO — A 95-year-old woman has died following a crash in Dayton earlier this week.
The Montgomery County Coroner’s Office and Dayton Police report that Thelma Booker was involved in the collision late Wednesday morning at the intersection of Hoover Avenue and Genesis Way.
Police said a 2004 Toyota Sienna traveling east on Hoover Avenue attempted to make a left turn onto Genesis Way but failed to yield to oncoming traffic. The vehicle collided with a westbound 2014 Toyota Corolla.
Booker and the 70-year-old driver of the Corolla were transported to Miami Valley Hospital. Booker later died from her injuries. The driver of the Sienna was taken to Kettering Health Dayton for treatment of possible injuries.
Authorities continue to investigate the crash.
