INDIANA — Two people have been arrested in connection with a Sunday shooting at a Fort Wayne hotel that left one man injured.
The Fort Wayne Police Department announced Thursday that officers arrested 18-year-old Jamya Nelson and 28-year-old Alonta Walker. Both are accused of involvement in the shooting at the Travelers Inn located in the 4600 block of East Washington Boulevard.
Officers responded to the hotel Sunday afternoon and found a man in the lobby suffering from gunshot wounds. He was taken to a hospital, where medics determined his injuries were non-life-threatening.
Authorities say details surrounding what led to the shooting remain limited as the investigation continues. Police noted that Walker had been out on bond for charges in two separate cases from October and November.
Both suspects are facing attempted murder charges.
