Indiana school closings and delays for Thursday

INDIANA — Multiple Indiana school districts have adjusted their schedules for Thursday, December 4, 2025, announcing delays and minor changes to the school day.

Bloomfield School District reported a two-hour delay, citing the need for additional morning preparation time. South Henry School Corporation also announced it will open two hours late.

Cloverdale Community Schools in Putnam County will operate on a two-hour delay as well and noted that morning preschool programs are canceled for the day. Meanwhile, Decatur County Community Schools stated there will be no early release on Thursday, keeping students on a full-day schedule.

School officials advised families to monitor district communications for any additional updates.

These schedule changes are typically enacted to ensure safe travel conditions for students and staff during periods of inclement weather or reduced visibility. Parents are encouraged to allow extra travel time and plan accordingly for the modified start times.
