VIRGINIA — The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal crash involving a pedestrian struck by a Loudoun County Transit bus on Monday, December 1.
Deputies were called to the scene at approximately 6:24 p.m. after receiving a report that a pedestrian had been hit on Croson Lane, just northeast of the intersection with Moorefield Boulevard. The victim, identified as Alyssa Kakol, 34, of Purcellville, was taken to a local hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
The incident remains under investigation by the LCSO Crash Reconstruction Unit, which has not released additional details at this time.
