FLORIDA — A bicyclist suffered serious injuries Thursday evening in a crash on U.S. 90 in Santa Rosa County, the Florida Highway Patrol reported.
According to FHP, a white pickup truck driven by a 32-year-old man from Jay, with a female passenger, was traveling east in the inside lane around 6:45 p.m.
A male bicyclist reportedly crossed the westbound lanes from the south and entered the path of the truck. The vehicle struck the bicyclist before the driver could avoid the collision.
The bicyclist was taken to a local hospital with critical injuries. The truck’s driver and passenger were not injured.
