ILLINOIS — A 30-year-old man was killed and another man was injured and later arrested following a shooting early Saturday morning at a Danville bar, according to police.
The Danville Police Department said officers were dispatched around 1:26 a.m. on Nov. 29 to Scooters Bar at 1114 E. Vorhees Street after reports of shots fired. While responding, officers were informed that a shooting victim was still at the scene.
When officers arrived, they found a 30-year-old man with a gunshot wound. Medical personnel pronounced him dead at the scene.
About eight minutes later, police were notified that a second man had arrived at the OSF Emergency Room with a gunshot wound. His injuries were determined to be non-life-threatening. After receiving treatment, he was transported to the Public Safety Building and booked on preliminary charges of unlawful possession of a weapon by a felon and aggravated discharge of a firearm.
