One person dead following vehicle crash in Ohio

OHIO — One person was killed and three others were hospitalized following a two-vehicle crash Friday afternoon near Hollywood Casino in Franklin County.

The collision happened around 3:10 p.m. at the intersection of West Broad Street and Georgesville Road.

According to investigators, the driver of a Honda CR-V was traveling east on West Broad Street when they ran a red light. At the same time, the driver of an Acura MDX was heading west on Broad Street and turning south onto Georgesville Road.

The Honda struck the Acura during the turn. The driver of the Honda was pronounced dead at the scene. A passenger in the Honda was transported to Grant Medical Center in critical condition.

Both the driver and passenger of the Acura were taken to Doctors West Hospital, where they were listed in stable condition.

The crash remains under investigation by authorities.
