NORTH CAROLINA — Deputies in Robeson County have launched a homicide investigation after a fatal shooting on Thanksgiving morning.
The incident occurred near the 3000 block of Red Hill Road, just outside Maxton.
The Robeson County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene, though officials have not released details about the victim or what led to the shooting.
Sheriff Burnis Wilkins said additional information will be shared as the investigation progresses.
