
INDIANA — State conservation officers are investigating an off-road vehicle crash that killed a teenager Sunday afternoon near the Clay–Putnam county line.
The crash was reported shortly before 4 p.m. on Nov. 23 near the intersection of County Road 800 North and County Road 500 East, about seven miles east of Brazil, Indiana.
Investigators determined that a 15-year-old boy was driving an off-road vehicle when it left the roadway and struck a tree.
The teen was pronounced dead at the scene. According to the Indiana Department of Natural Resources, he was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
The incident remains under investigation.
