FLORIDA — A Milton man has been arrested following a deadly shooting on Mary Street Monday afternoon, according to the Milton Police Department.
Officers were called around 4:31 p.m. to the area of Lucille Johnson Park in response to reports of multiple shots fired. Upon arrival, they found 31-year-old Tervon Jackson of Milton dead from multiple gunshot wounds.
Witnesses reported seeing three men fleeing the scene, two of whom were wearing partial masks.
Using witness photos and surveillance footage, police tracked the suspects with a K9 unit from the scene to a swampy wooded area near Pine Street. There, officers located three males hiding in the water, along with clothing matching witness descriptions and two semi-automatic handguns.
All three individuals were brought in for questioning. Police later arrested 21-year-old Jayden Jamarco Wright, charging him with murder—dangerous and depraved homicide. Wright is being held at the Santa Rosa County Jail and is expected to appear in court today.
