OHIO — Solon Police arrested a 44-year-old Bedford man after another driver reported that he pointed a gun during an early morning traffic dispute.

The incident occurred just after 6 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 19, near the intersection of Solon Boulevard and Aurora Road. A 49-year-old man called police and provided the suspect’s location, allowing officers to pull over the vehicle and detain the driver.

During the traffic stop, officers found a loaded semi-automatic pistol. Police said the suspect claimed he only “brandished” the weapon and did not point it directly at the other driver.

The man was taken to the Solon Jail and is facing a first-degree misdemeanor charge of aggravated menacing.
