
OHIO — A woman was airlifted to a Columbus hospital Monday after her vehicle crashed into a parked Ohio State Highway Patrol unit along Interstate 70 near Cambridge.
The crash occurred Nov. 24 when the woman’s eastbound vehicle went off the left side of the interstate about four miles past U.S. 40 and Ohio 22, near mile marker 172.
According to investigators, the vehicle traveled through the median and struck a stationary patrol unit that was parked in a crossover.
The driver was flown by Life Flight to OhioHealth Grant Medical Center in Columbus. Her name and condition have not yet been released.
According to ODOT District 5, both lanes of I-70 were shut down for about two and a half hours following the crash. The incident remains under investigation.
