ILLINOIS — A male suspect is on the run after robbing Longview Bank in Sidney on Monday afternoon, according to the Champaign County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies were called to the bank around 1:45 p.m. Officials said the suspect handed a note to a bank employee during the robbery before fleeing in a vehicle with an unknown amount of money.
It is not yet known whether the suspect was armed, but no injuries were reported.
Investigators remain at the scene collecting DNA and fingerprint evidence.
