ILLINOIS — The Decatur Police Department is investigating a shooting that occurred Sunday afternoon in the area of Monroe and Waggoner Streets.
Officers responded around 1:46 p.m. after receiving reports of gunshots. Police later learned from a local hospital that a gunshot victim was being treated.
Authorities said the victim drove to a convenience store on Grand Avenue before being taken to the hospital by another person. Police have not released details on the victim’s condition, injuries, or what led to the shooting. No arrests have been reported.
