SOUTH CAROLINA — The Colleton County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an armed robbery at a Dollar General Sunday night.
Deputies responded around 9:24 p.m. to the store on Sniders Highway after reports that a masked suspect entered the store and ran to the manager’s office while brandishing a handgun.
Officials said the suspect forced two employees to place cash into his backpack, stealing approximately $2,600.
The suspect fled on foot. Deputies tracked footprints that led to tire tracks on Team Bishop Lane. Witnesses described the suspect as wearing black clothing, brown work boots, and a white cloth mask.
