
GEORGIA — A Georgia Lottery player won $1 million in this weekend’s Powerball drawing, while another player in Savannah claimed a $20,000 Mega Millions prize.
According to the Georgia Lottery, the $1 million Powerball ticket was sold at the Publix located at 1525 Pleasant Hill Road in Duluth. The winning ticket matched all five white-ball numbers. The next Powerball drawing is scheduled for Nov. 24, with an estimated jackpot of $654 million.
In the Nov. 21 Mega Millions drawing, a $20,000 winning ticket was sold at the Publix at 11701 Abercorn Street in Savannah. That ticket matched four of the five white balls and the Mega Ball and included a built-in 2X multiplier.
Other recent lottery wins in Georgia include a Fantasy 5 ticket sold in Columbus worth $306,706 and a $50,000 prize claimed through the Georgia Lottery mobile app in Jonesboro.
Officials noted that proceeds from all Georgia Lottery games, including Powerball, Fantasy 5, Mega Millions, Quick Win, and Georgia FIVE, support education across the state.
