FLORIDA — Four people were arrested Thursday after the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office SWAT and tactical units executed a search warrant at a home in the 2900 block of Leisure Place.
Deputies said the residence had been the focus of community complaints and Crime Stoppers tips about suspected drug activity.
During the search, authorities seized 33.8 grams of methamphetamine, three clonazepam pills, additional unidentified pills and various drug paraphernalia.
Those arrested include:
- Howard Evans, 38, charged with possession of methamphetamine.
- Michelle Galup, 55, charged with trafficking in methamphetamine (28-plus grams) and possession of clonazepam.
- Barbara Hunt, 52, charged with possession of methamphetamine.
- Brenton Perkins, 41, taken into custody on two active misdemeanor warrants for petit theft and criminal mischief.
The sheriff’s office did not immediately release additional details.
