GEORGIA — Authorities recovered the body of an adult male from the Savannah River Thursday morning, according to the Chatham County Police Department.
The body was spotted on the Hutchinson Island side of the river.
CCPD’s Marine Patrol, working alongside Savannah Police and Savannah Fire, recovered the individual from the water.
Savannah Police confirmed the deceased is an adult male. The Chatham County Police Department is leading the investigation and said more information will be released as it becomes available.
