OHIO — U.S. Marshals arrested an Akron man Wednesday, accusing him of involvement in a drive-by shooting and domestic violence.
The Northern Violent Fugitive Task Force apprehended Matt Walker, 32, at a home in the 1100 block of Becker Lane.
He was wanted by Akron police on charges of felonious assault, domestic violence, and strangulation.
Authorities allege Walker shot a woman during an October drive-by shooting on West Miller Road, leaving her with serious injuries.
Additionally, Walker is accused of strangulation and domestic violence in connection to a Dec. 1 incident in Akron. Court records indicate the case involves a temporary protective order.
During the arrest, officers recovered a 9mm untraceable handgun from the home. Walker was booked into the Summit County Jail.
Walker was under supervision by the Ohio Adult Parole Authority for previous weapons offenses, officials said.
