
SOUTH CAROLINA — A motorcyclist died after a collision late Wednesday night in Spartanburg County, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
Troopers said the crash occurred around 11:10 p.m. on Highway 9 near Old Furnace Road. An SUV was traveling south on the highway, while a motorcycle was heading north.
According to investigators, the SUV attempted to turn left into a private driveway when the motorcycle struck the vehicle. The motorcyclist was taken to a hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
The driver of the SUV was not hurt. The crash remains under investigation.
