
NORTH CAROLINA — City of New Bern officials say crews are working to restore electricity after a power outage affected nearly 2,000 customers Tuesday evening.
The outage began around 6:40 p.m., leaving approximately 1,977 customers without service. As of about an hour and a half later, power had not yet been fully restored.
City crews are currently on-site working to bring service back online. Officials have not yet released information about what caused the outage. The city said it is working to determine the source of the problem.
