
GEORGIA — A man was taken into custody Monday night after his mother was found stabbed to death inside a Stockbridge home, authorities said.
Police responded to a residence in the 100 block of Club Drive around 9:40 p.m., where they found Desmond Riley standing in the front yard. Riley reportedly told officers that his mother was dead inside the home. Inside, officers discovered 75-year-old Dianna Cleveland deceased with multiple stab wounds.
Riley was detained and is awaiting charges from the district attorney’s office.
As of Tuesday morning, Club Drive remains closed in both directions, and the home is surrounded by yellow police tape.
