NORTH CAROLINA — A juvenile has died following a shooting Saturday night, according to the Winston-Salem Police Department.
Officers responded around 9:30 p.m. to the 3500 block of N. Patterson Avenue after reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, they found a juvenile suffering from a gunshot wound. Emergency personnel performed life-saving measures and transported the victim to a local medical facility, but the juvenile later died. Authorities have not released the victim’s identity.
Police said there is no information yet on what led to the shooting or a suspect, but they believe the incident was isolated and not random.
