OHIO — A 34-year-old man was arrested Thursday evening after a shooting at a South Side home left another man injured, according to police reports.

Officers were called around 9:20 p.m. to a residence in the 800 block of Cambridge Avenue for a reported shooting. While en route, police were informed that the victim was being taken to St. Elizabeth Health Center in a private vehicle.

The man suffered gunshot wounds to his left hip and foot.

When officers arrived at the home, they found the door open and noticed blood on the floor and on a door handle. Inside a second room, police located at least three firearms, including a .45-caliber semiautomatic pistol and a .22-caliber semiautomatic pistol.

As officers continued their investigation, two people arrived at the residence, one of whom was identified as the suspect. Reports said the victim later identified the man as the shooter while at the hospital.

The suspect was booked into the Mahoning County jail on a charge of felonious assault. He is expected to be arraigned Friday in municipal court, though charges had not yet been formally filed in court records.
