
SOUTH CAROLINA — Florence authorities arrested two men in connection with a drug and weapons investigation on November 4.
Phillip Bruce Rogers, 36, of Florence, was charged with trafficking fentanyl, distribution of fentanyl, trafficking methamphetamine, possession of a weapon during a violent crime, and possession of a weapon by a convicted felon.
According to Sheriff TJ Joye of the Florence County Sheriff’s Office (FCSO), narcotics investigators and Florence’s SWAT team executed a search warrant at the Super 8 Motel on West Palmetto Street, uncovering a significant amount of drugs and firearms.
Rogers was arrested at the scene and is being held at the Florence County Detention Center without bond.
Another suspect, 36-year-old Ronald Keith Marbry, Jr., of Florence, was charged with possession of methamphetamine. Marbry was released on November 6 after posting a $300 bond.
