FLORIDA — The Springfield Police Department is investigating a shooting that occurred near 400 School Avenue around 8:00 a.m. Wednesday.
Authorities reported that one person was taken to a hospital in critical condition. The shooter was found dead at the scene.
Bay District Schools officials said there are no plans to lock down nearby schools or offices, noting that law enforcement has confirmed there is no ongoing threat to the community.
