
FLORIDA — Thirteen people have been arrested in connection with a major drug trafficking investigation by the Volusia Sheriff’s Office (VSO), authorities said. The investigation, called Operation RoadRunner, targeted the distribution of fentanyl, methamphetamine, and cocaine across Central Florida.
The operation, carried out in two phases over several months, involved detectives and deputies from multiple local agencies, including the Volusia Bureau of Investigation, East and West Volusia Narcotics Task Forces, the Deltona Narcotics Enforcement Team, and the SWAT team. Federal support came from the FBI, Homeland Security Investigations, and the DEA.
Authorities seized 662.3 grams of fentanyl, 649.8 grams of methamphetamine, 29 grams of cocaine, six firearms—including one stolen—two vehicles, and nearly $50,000 in cash.
The thirteen arrested are:
- Christina Davis, 48, Ormond Beach – Solicitation to deliver cocaine and fentanyl, unlawful use of a two-way communication device
- Eric Felder, 29, Palm Coast – Conspiracy to traffic fentanyl and cocaine over 28 grams, unlawful use of a two-way communication device
- Jessie Hillman, 40, Daytona Beach – Solicitation to deliver fentanyl and meth, unlawful use of a two-way communication device
- Johnathan Jacobs, 26, Ormond Beach – Solicitation to deliver fentanyl, unlawful use of a two-way communication device
- Milton Jones Jr., 28, Daytona Beach – Conspiracy to traffic meth over 200 grams, meth trafficking, unlawful use of a two-way device, driving with a suspended license, aggravated fleeing/eluding, possession of a firearm and ammunition by a convicted felon
- Christian Melendez, 26, Bunnell – Multiple drug trafficking, manufacturing, and delivery charges, including fentanyl and meth, and unlawful use of a two-way device
- William Robertson, 43, Daytona Beach – Conspiracy to traffic fentanyl over 28 grams, unlawful use of a two-way device
- Gerardo Rios II, 48 – Conspiracy to traffic fentanyl over 28 grams, unlawful use of a two-way device
- Eric Shipman, 47, Port Orange – Armed trafficking in MDMA over 400 grams, three counts of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, owning/renting a structure to traffic drugs, evidence tampering
- Tyrone Smalls, 29, Daytona Beach – Conspiracy to traffic fentanyl over 28 grams, meth trafficking, possession of fentanyl and meth, drug paraphernalia possession
- Geronimo Vela, 45 – Solicitation to deliver fentanyl and cocaine, unlawful use of a two-way device
- Jamuni Williams, 28, Ormond Beach – Conspiracy to traffic fentanyl, meth, and cocaine, manufacturing fentanyl, meth trafficking, possession of a structure to traffic drugs, unlawful use of a two-way device
Sheriff’s officials said the arrests mark a major step in disrupting drug distribution in the region and removing dangerous substances and firearms from the streets.
