INDIANA — A three-vehicle crash involving a school bus injured one person Friday afternoon in Huntington County, according to Indiana State Police.
Dispatch received a call just before 5 p.m. about the crash near County Road 825 West and U.S. 24.
An Indiana State Police trooper responded and determined that a Huntington County Community Schools Corporation bus was traveling south on CR 825 W and crossed the westbound lanes of U.S. 24 properly, but then failed to yield to eastbound traffic.
The bus struck a van traveling east, causing the van to roll onto its passenger side and slide into a truck that was stopped at the intersection of State Road 105 and U.S. 24.
The driver of the van was trapped inside and suffered non-life-threatening injuries. Emergency crews extricated him and transported him to a nearby hospital. No students were on the bus at the time, and no other injuries were reported.
The crash remains under review.
