
PENNSYLVANIA — Two people were killed in a head-on crash on Interstate 70 in Washington County Friday evening, according to Pennsylvania State Police.
The collision occurred around 5 p.m. near Exit 6 in Donegal Township. Trooper Rocco Gagliardi said a sedan traveling east crossed the grass median into oncoming traffic and struck a westbound SUV.
Both drivers were pronounced dead at the scene. The Washington County Coroner identified the westbound driver as 69-year-old William L. Magers of Glen Dale, West Virginia. The eastbound driver was identified as 59-year-old Donna Havens of Wheeling, West Virginia.
The SUV had two passengers. A woman was flown to a hospital with what officials described as “very severe” injuries. A young boy in the vehicle was unharmed but was checked at the scene.
All lanes of I-70 were closed for several hours but have since reopened. The crash remains under investigation.
