NORTH CAROLINA — Raleigh police say a crash involving an 18-wheeler truck temporarily shut down part of Capital Boulevard on Saturday morning.
Southbound lanes between New Hope Church Road and Old Buffaloe Road were blocked after a woman was struck near the Circle K gas station. The crash occurred earlier in the morning, and the road reopened around 10:30 a.m.
The woman was taken to WakeMed with serious injuries. Police said they did not have additional information about her condition at this time.
The driver of the 18-wheeler remained at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation, according to authorities. Police have not released the names of those involved.
