
NORTH CAROLINA — A 27-year-old man was arrested early Friday morning after police say he crashed a box truck into a home in Raleigh and then fled the scene.
The crash happened around 12:40 a.m. on Raleigh Pines Drive.
According to Raleigh police, the box truck driven by Kenyon Tyree Pelzer struck the house, causing damage to the exterior. Two vehicles behind the home were also damaged.
No one inside the house was injured.
Police said Pelzer left before officers arrived, but he was located and taken into custody before 2:30 a.m. He is charged with three misdemeanor counts of hit-and-run and leaving the scene with property damage, as well as commercial driving while impaired.
The case remains under investigation.
