KENTUCKY — A 40-year-old man was killed Wednesday evening after being struck by a Christian County sheriff’s deputy, according to Kentucky State Police.
The incident occurred around 7:15 p.m. in the 4500 block of Highway 41. Investigators said the deputy was driving a marked cruiser while responding to a service call when he struck the pedestrian.
The victim was identified as Brandon Higgins of Hopkinsville and was pronounced dead at the scene. The deputy involved has not been identified.
State police are continuing to investigate the incident. No further details have been released.
