
SOUTH CAROLINA — Four people and two dogs were killed in a crash on Green Pond Highway earlier this week, according to Colleton County Fire-Rescue.
The crash occurred on Nov. 3 along the rural highway near Walterboro. Fire-rescue officials said an 8-year-old child, a 16-year-old, and a woman traveling in a Volkswagen Jetta were killed in the collision.
The driver of a minivan involved in the crash also died, along with two dogs that were inside the vehicle. Crews said the dogs were buried in the woods near the crash site.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
