KENTUCKY — Kentucky State Police are searching for a man following the shooting death of a woman Monday afternoon.
Officers responded around 1 p.m. to Simpson Lane in the Ekron community, where they found 55-year-old Mary Crase had been shot at least once and died at the scene.
Police are looking for 45-year-old Scott Hornback of Irvington, who left before officers arrived. Hornback is described as 5 feet 8 inches tall with brown hair and eyes.
Authorities say he should be considered armed and dangerous and urge anyone who sees him not to approach him but to call police immediately.
The Meade County Sheriff’s Office is assisting with the investigation.
