INDIANA — Two people were killed and another injured in a crash early Monday morning, authorities said.
The LaGrange County Sheriff’s Office reported that just after midnight, a car carrying three people was traveling on State Road 120 near Howe when, for unknown reasons, it veered off the road and struck a tree.
The driver and one passenger were pronounced dead at the scene. Their identities have not yet been released.
The third passenger was airlifted to a Fort Wayne hospital with internal injuries and head trauma.
Investigators believe that both speed and alcohol contributed to the crash. The investigation is ongoing.
