OHIO — One person was killed early Monday morning in a crash involving a semi-tractor-trailer on U.S. Route 127, according to the Darke County Sheriff’s Office.
Emergency crews were called to the 1600 block of U.S. 127 near Grubbs-Rex Road around 4:49 a.m. after reports of a collision.
Deputies said a southbound car crossed the center line and struck an oncoming semi head-on. First responders attempted life-saving measures, but the driver of the car was pronounced dead at the scene.
The victim’s identity has not yet been released. The crash remains under investigation by the Darke County Sheriff’s Office.
