OHIO — A driver was flown to the hospital Monday morning after crashing while fleeing from deputies during a pursuit.
According to authorities, the chase began shortly after 7 a.m. when a deputy attempted to make a traffic stop on State Route 118.
The pursuit continued for about four miles before the driver lost control and crashed into an embankment near the intersection of Beamsville-Union City Road.
Emergency crews responded, and the driver was airlifted to a nearby hospital by CareFlight.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol is leading the investigation into the crash.
