
ALABAMA — Two men were arrested on October 23 following a long-term narcotics trafficking investigation, authorities said.
The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office and Vestavia Hills Police Department executed a search warrant in the 1600 block of Fulton Avenue SW.
Duane Jennings, 49, and Terrence Pickett, 50, were taken into custody, and authorities seized narcotics, weapons, digital scales, and packaging materials.
Jennings was charged with drug trafficking and unlawful possession of a controlled substance and has since been released from the Jefferson County Jail. Pickett faced charges of drug trafficking, trafficking hydrocodone, and unlawful possession of a controlled substance, and was also released.
Seized narcotics included:
- 2.1 grams of cocaine
- 1.1 grams of crack cocaine
- 30.9 grams of fentanyl
- 12 grams of ecstasy
- 9.3 grams of methamphetamine
- 2.8 grams of marijuana
- 21.4 grams of hydrocodone
Seized firearms included a Beretta 9mm pistol, a Remington .38 caliber pistol, and a Pioneer Arms AK-47 7.62×39.
