Two people injured following shooting incident at North Carolina party

NORTH CAROLINA — Two people were injured early Sunday morning following a shooting at a large party on Beams Mill Road, authorities said.

The Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office said the Communications Center received multiple calls reporting the shooting. One victim was transported to a nearby hospital by Rutherford County EMS, while the other was taken by a private vehicle. Both are receiving treatment for their injuries.

Deputies arriving at the scene found that many partygoers had already left.

Investigators conducted interviews and collected evidence as the investigation continues.
