PENNSYLVANIA — Police are investigating after a fight led to a stabbing early Sunday morning in the city’s Marshall-Shadeland neighborhood, according to public safety officials.
Officers were called to the 2600 block of California Avenue just before 1 a.m. for reports of a disturbance. Investigators believe a fight broke out among several people inside a business on the street. Security escorted those involved outside, but the altercation continued, police said.
A man was stabbed during the incident and suffered slash wounds to his back and jaw. He was taken to a nearby hospital, where he was listed in stable condition.
Detectives are reviewing security footage and interviewing witnesses as they work to identify those responsible. The investigation remains ongoing.
