Nine people injured in shooting at party at Ohio Airbnb

OHIO — At least nine people, several of them juveniles, were injured early Sunday after a shooting at a party hosted at an Airbnb rental home, according to Bath Township police.

Police Chief Vito Sinopoli said officers responded shortly after midnight to the 900 block of Top-O-Hill Drive, where they encountered a chaotic scene and provided life-saving aid to multiple victims. The injured were transported to local hospitals, though their conditions were not immediately available.

Investigators said the party had been advertised on social media and drew a large group of juveniles, with cars parked along the entire street.

An unknown suspect reportedly opened fire inside the home, striking several people before fleeing the scene. Most of the shots were fired on the first floor, and officers recovered multiple shell casings.

Police said most attendees were juveniles but believe some victims were adults. Not all injuries were from gunfire; at least one person was hurt after falling during the incident.

Responders from 11 local police and fire agencies, along with the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation, assisted at the scene.

Bath Township police continue to investigate and are working to identify the suspect or suspects. Anyone with information, photos, or videos from the incident is asked to contact Bath Township Police at 330-666-3736.
