NORTH CAROLINA — Charlotte-Mecklenburg police arrested a man Thursday in connection with the death of a man found near a shopping center along Central Avenue.
Marcos Antonio Perez-Vasquez, 30, was charged with murder in the death of Thomas Montague Carter, 54.
Carter was discovered on Saturday, October 25, near the intersection of Central Avenue and Eastcrest Drive.
Authorities initially classified the case as a death investigation, but Carter’s death was later ruled a homicide.
Perez-Vasquez is being held without bond, according to jail records.
