FLORIDA — A 49-year-old man died early Friday morning after his scooter was struck by a vehicle at the intersection of SE Crosstown Parkway and SE Sandia Drive, the Port St. Lucie Police Department said.
Authorities said the man sustained severe injuries and was transported to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead upon arrival.
The intersection remains closed while investigators work to determine the circumstances of the crash. Motorists are advised to avoid the area and use alternate routes.
