
OHIO — A Van Wert man was arrested Wednesday night after a traffic stop led police to discover methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia in his vehicle, according to Washington Township Police.
Officers stopped a vehicle driven by 44-year-old Jason Vancleve on Township Road 239 near U.S. Route 33 for an equipment violation.
During the stop, police said Vancleve showed signs of drug use and admitted to having methamphetamine in the vehicle.
A search of the vehicle turned up methamphetamine, a needle used for injection, and a pipe used for consumption.
Vancleve was taken into custody and transported to the Logan County Jail, where he faces charges of possession of drugs, possession of drug abuse instruments, and possession of drug paraphernalia. He remains in custody at the Logan County Jail.
